I just took it off the road last week because I finally got a new truck. This is the 1500 series. It´s always been very well maintained. Just recently put in 3 new calipers, 4 new rotors, 4 new brakes, new brake lines, new fuel pump, new gas tank strap kit, new fuel filter, new emergency brake, and a new alternator. It´s got a CD player with some booming speakers.(not stock). It does need two front tires, there´s a crack in the windshield that starts at bottom passenger side and is about a foot long. Also the tailgate is frozen, so I have it strapped with a bungy cord. The body´s rusty, but the engine, which is similar to a 326 or 327, is a powerful beast!! My new truck is a wimp by comparison. Truck is great for on the road or for carrying loads of wood, etc...This baby is a must see. Asking $2,500 OBO. Details: 1998 GMC Sierra 1500 4WD EXT cab. AC, AM/FM cassette, bed liner, automatic 8 Cylinder, four wheel drive. White exterior, gray interior with cloth seats. I have owned this truck since 12/03. The motor was replaced at 100,000 miles right after I bought it. Current odometer 244,140 miles. It has a fresh oil change at 244,000 miles as well as front brake pads. I have had the same mechanic for this truck & he can be contacted. I have always changed the oil at 3,000 mi or less. In 7/10 a new feul pump & gas tank was installed. In 9/10 upper ball joints & sway bar link was replaced. 4 WD works fine. I have driven it daily & is dependable. There is a fair amount of rust consistent with the year & miles.
