The trips over and I´m ready to pass it on to somebody else who can make better use of it than I can. I designed this vehicle to have multiple uses. Ill do the best I can to describe the modifications I have done as well as the money and time I have put into it.I resealed/painted/tinted the interior and exterior of an a.r.e pickup truck cap ($800). The cap is 100% leak proof. I removed the back windshield and installed a custom rubber boot gasket to join the cab to the bed. I installed two benches/beds/security lock boxes. These are lightweight and rock solid. They are custom upholstered with 5 inch of memory foam. It would be very difficult to break into these boxes. The center isle is also passed with foam as well as carpeted. (total about $900 without labor)There is a tabletop/ platform between the cab and bed I installed for storage as well as an excellent space to mount speakers. In august I purchased and installed TWO Duracell marine/RV sealed deep cycle batteries worth $500 together. These batteries are both located under the hood and are professionally wired in line to a 1000w power inverter with power strip. I have installed a marine power switch as well as a digital volt meter to gauge the power use. These battery have never failed to start the truck with up to two full days of continuous use. Four seatbelts installed in rear ($150). I have also installed a remote controlled, automatic thermostat 12 RV fan ($200) into the roof of the cap. This fan is wired separately from the main switch so the digital thermostat can be set and the fan will automatically open and close while the truck is parked. A series of 12 volt marine led light are installed throughout the bed. Two lights shine onto the tailgate when opened. $150I bought and installed a Thule excursion ($409) for extra storage.I had a professional alarm system installed with addition shock sensors in the bed as well as rear latch. ($500) I have warranty papers on the viper security system. A brand new set of Cooper Discoverer tires as well as spare. (about $800)Believe is or not this truck get 20mpg on the highway. It´s lightweight 5 speed manual transmission and when driven right its has great gas mileage compared to most truck its size. Mechanically this truck runs perfect. I have the receipts to prove it. New brake lines/ pads/new exhaust and cat converter/ headlights, and complete tune up this past fall. A culmination of a least $1000 to insure road trip worthy. I bought this truck for $10,500 last year and have invested about $5500 into this project. I will consider best offers. Details: 2006 GMC sierra, 92,889 miles, 4.8 liter, 4x4, 5 speed manuel.This is a unique custom-made pickup truck/suv/ lightweight camper I built this past summer for a cross country road trip. The trips over and I´m ready to pass it on to somebody else who can make better use of it than I can. I designed this vehicle to have multiple uses. Ill do the best I can to describe the modifications I have done as well as the money and time I have put into it.I resealed/painted/tinted the interior and exterior of an a.r.e pickup truck cap ($800). The cap is 100% leak proof. I removed the back windshield and installed a custom rubber boot gasket to join the cab to the bed. I installed two benches/beds/security lock boxes. These are lightweight and rock solid. They are custom upholstered with 5 inch of memory foam. It would be very difficult to break into these boxes. The center isle is also passed with foam as well as carpeted. (total about $900 without labor)There is a tabletop/ platform between the cab and bed I installed for storage as well as an excellent space to mount speakers. In august I purchased and installed TWO Duracell marine/RV sealed deep cycle batteries worth $500 together. These batteries are both located under the hood and are professionally wired in line to a 1000w power inverter with power strip. I have installed a marine power switch as well as a digital volt meter to gauge the power use. These battery have never failed to start the truck with up to two full days of continuous use. Four seatbelts installed in rear ($150). I have also installed a remote controlled, automatic thermostat 12 RV fan ($200) into the roof of the cap. This fan is wired separately from the main switch so the digital thermostat can be set and the fan will automatically open and close while the truck is parked. A series of 12 volt marine led light are installed throughout the bed. Two lights shine onto the tailgate when opened. $150I bought and installed a Thule excursion ($409) for extra storage.I had a professional alarm system installed with addition shock sensors in the bed as well as rear latch. ($500) I have warranty papers on the viper security system. A brand new set of Cooper Discoverer tires as well as spare. (about $800)Believe is or not this truck get 20mpg on the highway. It´s lightweight 5 speed manual transmission and when driven right its has great gas mileage compared to most truck its size. Mechanically this truck runs perfect. I have the receipts to prove it. New brake lines/ pads/new exhaust and cat converter/ headlights, and complete tune up this past fall. A culmination of a least $1000 to insure road trip worthy. I bought this truck for $10,500 last year and have invested about $5500 into this project. I will consider best offers.
