Details: Here I have a 1998 GMC 1 ton truck Dully single cab with heavy duty tool boxes and rack. The truck has 144896 miles on it, the 6.5 turbo diesel engine was just swapped out of a 1999 truck unknown mileage on it. The truck has the five speed manual transmission with a granny gear. Just dropped a newer used engine with a New Starter, New Alternator, newly rebuilt turbo, New Batteries, also have extra parts from engine swap, also just rebuilt the steering gearbox. Tires are retread-able with a 1/2 inch of tread left. The bed is 13 feet long and the rack is 17 feet long. The upper toolboxes have and organisation tray in them and the top of both have an organization bin built on them with locking cover. This truck was getting 22 MPG driving here form CA while towing a 4Runner on a heavy trailer with the old engine resting in the bed of this truck, highway driven. The downside is in city driving it gets closer to 10, I don´t know exactly. There are duel fuel tanks one is 25 gal´s the rear is 15 gal´s.New plates and tags also, good till April 2014The bad with this truck is all cosmetic, the paint is chipping off on the front cab. The a/c pump is fixed I just recharged it and is blowing very cold air. And the rear of the truck has spot rust but nothing a wire brush and spray-paint wont fix. The bed is wood and will last a long time however it is per mated with oil and worn by the sun. Not an expensive fix. The windshield has a crack in it but doesn´t effect driving. The passenger door handle on the inside is broken I will be investigating this and will probably end up fixing it when I get some time. The last is drivers seat has a big tear in it however with a seat cover and some foam it would look great. The rest of the interior is in great shape just the drivers seat is bad.Not willing for trade unless it is a great deal. This is a great truck, it by itself towed and carried all the material while storing every tool under lock for six men to work with for months. This is a big truck that seats six comfortably, and if you were to add the back seat you could seat nine comfortably, you can fit a full sheet of plywood in the back and still fit six comfortably... AND it gets almost 20 miles per gallon! Tow package will pull 10,000 pounds, has adjustable trailer brake set up. Interior is in great condition, starts right up every time and runs good and strong, factory mirrored and tinted windows, power everything, great AC, and heater with front and back separate climates, automatic. 230,000 miles. We have had the truck for about five years and have recently acquired a horse... we tried hauling hay in the back of the Suburban but it took forever to clean up. We need a good pick-up truck that´s four wheel drive and has a V-8. Might consider other trades, or sale for 2700.
